A $2.625 million commitment from the Marymount Education Foundation will provide scholarships and comprehensive support to 40 students annually, including faculty mentorship, academic support, and professional development.

Chapman Softball recently welcomed the Japanese National Team for a special exhibition matchup, part of the team’s goodwill tour as it prepares for the 2028 Olympics. The visit offered Chapman student-athletes a rare opportunity to compete against one of the premier programs in international softball.

Self-Appraisals for Performance Evaluations Due This Week

Staff and administrative self-appraisals are due to managers by Friday, Feb. 27, with final evaluations submitted to Human Resources by April 10. Employees and supervisors are encouraged to use this process to reflect on accomplishments and set goals aligned with Chapman’s strategic priorities.

Don’t Miss the 2026 State of the University Address
Friday, Feb. 27, 11 a.m., Musco Center for the Arts

In his first State of the University address, President Matt Parlow will outline his priorities and highlight Chapman’s continued momentum. This in-person event is open to faculty and staff from all campuses, including those based at Rinker, who are welcome to drive to attend. Registration is required and closes at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25.

Parents and families will be on campus for the Parent Spring Summit, a two-day event designed to strengthen family engagement and deepen their connection to the university community.

Screen Time Becomes Quality Time When Students Help Seniors With Tech

What began in 2017 as a small community service project has grown into a weekly tradition, with Chapman students from Beta Theta Pi providing one-on-one tech support to seniors at the Orange Senior Center. Along the way, simple help with devices has grown into meaningful connection.
