This workshop will give you all the information you need for that final step of your dissertation or thesis journey: submitting it to the library. Learn about the procedures, required documents, and formatting standards you need to know about to ensure a smooth and successful submission process. 

In this workshop, we’ll explore how faculty can use student feedback from course evaluations to inform teaching practices and improve the student experience. Participants will also learn how to leverage AI to assess this feedback to support ongoing course improvements. Bring your laptop and some recent course evaluations for this hands-on workshop. 

The Career and Professional Development Office invites you to a hands-on workshop exploring how to use AI tools to enhance career skills. Learn how to request feedback on your resume, cover letter and LinkedIn profile, and practice with AI-powered mock interviews. Contra Coffee will be provided.  

Building upon the foundation from the first workshop, the second workshop dives into spatial analysis. You will learn to find mapping datasets, view and edit map attributes and use ArcGIS Pro’s geoprocessing tools to interpret spatial data for research, planning, or business needs. 

Chapman Presidential Fellows Marion Ein Lewin and Ambassador Stuart Eizenstat share perspectives on Kristallnacht’s lessons and legacies. Lewin, a Bergen-Belsen survivor, is former senior staff officer at the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies of Science. Ambassador Eizenstat is chairman of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council and former U.S. Ambassador to the European Union.  

Join the Schmid College of Science and Technology for the third annual Schmid Family Lecture, featuring guest speaker, fire ecologist Kira Hoffman as she discusses applying prescribed and cultural fire as a tool for proactive forest management. 

This event will highlight a research speed dating session, so each participant will have the opportunity to engage in brief conversations with other participants about their own research and potential collaboration opportunities. 

This professional development workshop is designed to help school-based professionals respond to these realities with confidence and care. Grounded in a multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) framework, participants will learn how to promote digital well-being and mental health across universal, targeted and individualized supports. 

The Germinals Seminar aims to foster germinality and interdisciplinary collaborations within the Chapman community. It is curated by Presidential Fellow Ivan Magrin-Chagnolleau. In this session, Lia Halloran will present some work that bridges art and science to illuminate hidden histories, cosmic phenomena and the poetics of identity.
