Opening Up Honors

Social and health psychologist Tara Gruenewald took over Chapman’s University Honors Program last fall and hit the ground running. She’s redesigning the first-year curriculum, launching cross-university faculty partnerships, and pushing the program to become a resource for the whole university and not just the 275 students enrolled in it.

Quaylan Allen, professor at Attallah College of Educational Studies, has been appointed Chapman’s new Faculty Ombudsperson. Allen will serve as a confidential, neutral resource for faculty.

The Office of Sustainability hosts its annual Plastic Bag Exchange to help reduce single-use plastics. Bring five disposable plastic bags and leave with a free reusable tote. The event supports the campus community’s ongoing effort to shift away from landfill products.
